Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967[1], is a Canadian actress. After her initial roles on television and film, she gained international fame for her part in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was her debut big role. She was awarded the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Character, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) also earned her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress, Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) were some of her TV roles. While in Spain, Moss obtained a role as Tara clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first TV appearance. In 1992, she moved to the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss had to leave Dark Justice before the series was in its third season and the final one and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn as Samantha "Sam" Collins. Following her return, she was enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. At the academy, she was modeling, and later starred on Fox's primetime soap Opera Models Inc. The show was cancelled in July 1995. Matrix was a made-in Canada show that was also the mainstay of and was ended in July 1995. In the course of the 1990s, she starred in various television series, including Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she was nominated for the Gemini Award for Best Guest actor in a Drama. She starred in many B-movie parts throughout the decade that included Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
